Description
Sorry for shitty quality pic, but here is the finished quiver! Yay!
Made from leather (except for the feather, obviously, and the hemp cord attaching the feather). The only area I used glue was to attach the fringing, because I did it last and it was going to be too difficult to thread on. The decorative stitching is a combo of hand-sewing and machine-stitch. To make the darker panels I used Dubbin on the suede side. I painted the red areas with just acrylic paint and then sanded to weather it.
Pretty chuffed with my first ever quiver! Pretty new with leather working, and especially anything on this scale. Did lots of research into how to make back quivers that would match the reference pics, and it is surprisingly simpler than I expected. I think the toughest part was the stitching, because I am so not that great at sewing neatly. Even after practising on scrap pieces I ended up unpicking the machine stitch so many times Anyway, uneven sewing aside I think it turned out ok.
